Public Health Behavior Solutions (PHBS) provides judges, attorneys, law enforcement and probation officers with options to develop sustainable injury prevention programs through training, program development, and capacity building. These injury prevention programs can include educational programs including, but not limited to, motor vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian related injury to intentional-related injury such as abuse and neglect, and programs to reduce adolescent risk behavior for probation.
COGNITIVE-BASED INTEGRATIVE (CBI) PROGRAMS
The Cognitive-based Integrative (CBI) programs incorporate cognitive-based educational models are designed to empower children, teens, and families, to help improve personal development and choices to reduce exposure to injury and violence risk behavior and promote healthy lifestyles. The following CBI programs incorporate neuroscience models to help improve behavior and choices:
- Parent-Child Development (Expectant parents & parents of elementary school-aged children)
- Parent-Teen Empowerment (Parents & teens)
- Empowered Youth Achievement (Parents & youth probation diversion)
- Making Choices as an Adolescent Adult (College aged individuals)
- Parental Child Empowerment Program (For recently separated parents)
